Lecture featuring Bobby McAlpine

Presented by The Cosmetic Surgery Center of Maryland

Bobby speaks poignantly from his head and heart about our personal search for home — what he sees as the quest to match our physical surroundings with that of our inner beauty.  Armed with the perspective of a southerner and an arsenal of architectural experience, he reveals his thoughts on grace, the human condition, tenderness of place and what we know to be true in our lives, all based on his body of work created over the last 30 years. Capital Region Emmy Award-Winning and Baltimore Magazine’s “Best News Anchor”, Jennifer Gilbert of Fox 45 News, will emcee the lecture.

“Tapas & Treasures” – An Antiques Affair

A vibrant evening for new and experienced collectors. The evening features elegant cuisine paired with cocktails for a divine culinary experience amidst the fine array of antiques and fine arts. Join acclaimed artisan and collector, David Wiesand of Mclain Wiesand, for a tour of the Show as he discusses his favorite items.

Private Show Tour

A well-known expert in 19th and 20th century antiques, James Archer Abbott, Director and Curator of the Evergreen Museum & Library, will take an intimate group through the show, highlighting certain pieces and explaining their importance. Every year, this proves to be one of the weekend’s most sought-after tickets.

Children’s Show Tour

It is never too early to delight future collectors with artifacts from our collective history. The tour will take children, ages 7-13, through the show and present it to them in ways they will understand, enjoy and appreciate. Chaperoned children will be enchanted, entertained and educated by Dr. Thomas Bruggman, child psychologist and Sotheby’s graduate. Children may be accompanied by a parent with purchase of admission to the show.
